Freshmen Parking Permits
One of my most impressive projects while working at Fort Hays State University came in the form of a freshmen parking permit web application.
The incoming Freshmen at Fort Hays State University were required to sign up for parking permits in the computer lab of one of the dorm halls. Once they completed the form, the parking department staff would login to an admin panel and print out all the student’s information as a receipt and issue them a parking permit.
As all of this happened, the student’s information was being dynamically pulled from a MySQL database into a Microsoft Access database through ODBC at the University Police Station for permanent record.
