Scott County Hospital
In choosing a final “Capstone” project for college, we needed something which would encompass all of the skills we had acquired throughout our college education. We chose to help Scott County Hospital, based in Scott City, KS, with a complete website overhaul.
We began this project by organizing the site into different sections and brainstorming layouts. Each person created a basic mock-up which was then voted on by hospital staff. When the design was finalized, we began the planning process for the code. The group decided that we would setup a content management system for Scott County to allow for easy site maintenance. We chose to use a heavily-modified version of Mercury for this project. Many features were added to the simple newsletter-management application.
